Brahmi

If you belong from an Indian household, then chances are that you are familiar with this ingredient. You might have had your grandmother or mother insisting you include Brahmi on your daily diet to improve memory and cognitive function. But that’s not the only benefit this herb provides you with. Scientists have found out that this herb has also healing properties. It increases blood supply to wounded places, and also helps strengthen the skin. Currently, it has become one of the widely used ingredients in modern skincare products as well.

Yogurt

We are all more or less familiar with the lactic acid present in any sort of milk-based products, and, of course, Yogurt. Thanks to the 9th standard science classes. Unless you are lactose intolerant, milk-based products may be a good source of protein to include in your daily diet. But the lactic acid present in yogurt is good for your skin as well. Yogurt acts as a gentle moisturizer and exfoliator to the skin. It reduces skin irritation caused by rough wind or sunburn. It is a great natural skincare product if you have dry skin.

Green Tea

Do you discard the used teabags right away? Then it stops today. Filled with antioxidants, green tea is good for your health. It helps to reduce fat, and studies suggest that it can even prevent cancer. But do you know that even the used green tea bags are beneficial? Well, they are. Green tea prevents your skin from the harsh heat, and it also has anti-ageing properties, so your skin keeps dazzling just like the same through the years.

Coconut Oil

Well, I am personally a huge fan of coconut oil. It has not one or two, but a lot of beneficial properties present in it. Coconut oil is a natural moisturiser, it hydrates the skin. Also, the anti-inflammatory properties present in it helps to soothe irritated skin as well. Recent studies have suggested that extra-virgin coconut oil improves the skin barrier, by suppressing many of the natural skin inflammatory substances.

Vinegar

Skincare is not only about taking good care of your face. It is about taking care of every part of your body. And a body part that often goes unnoticed fingertips. Well, we all like to style our nails. Apply different shades of nail polishes, sometimes even opt for nail art, and whatnot. But we seldom take care of the fingernails, and most importantly the cuticles that go through so much. So here is a tip to take care of your cuticles. Due to various reasons, your cuticles at times grow red, it can also be a sign of bacterial infection. A mixture of water and white vinegar can prevent it from happening. Vinegar kills germs, and it works on your cuticles as well.
