Tomato juice

Summer is here. And I hope you are all set with your salad recipes to beat the heat. As far as salad is concerned, tomato is one of the main ingredients. But, did you know that apart from being good for your health, it can help to achieve healthy skin as well? If not, then do give this a try. All you need is some tomato juice and a few drops of lemon juice. It helps to reduce blackheads alongside shrinks the pores. Use daily for better results.

Avocado and Honey

Imagine having a solution to protect your skin from dehydrating, ageing and dryness. Well, don’t worry. I am not talking about any cosmetic surgery that is going to cost you a fortune. You can make a mask yourself just by using avocado and honey. Honey is a natural humectant. It hydrates the skin. Alongside, the antioxidants and antibacterial properties present in it makes it extremely beneficial for the skin. On the other hand, avocado helps to fight skin ageing. Mix honey with mashed avocado, and apply it to your skin. Best part? You can store the excess and use it later.

Sugar

A pretty smile can be a game-changer. Don’t you think? We often talk about our face but forget about our lips. Did you know that the sweet sugar we all love, can be used as a lip scrubber? It can also be used in other parts of the body, but there is a catch. Sugar can create microtears which can give rise to hyperpigmentation. But it also helps to retain moisture. Thus, using a pinch of sugar to hydrate and smoothen your skin can be a great idea. You can also add a tad bit of coconut oil for better results.

Potato

The veggie we try to ignore as much as possible can work wonders for your skin. Potato works as a natural bleach and helps to brighten the skin. Mash a raw potato and apply it to your skin as a face mask. Use some lukewarm water to rinse it off after a few minutes. It helps to the dark circles under your eyes. Daily use can help to achieve glowing skin.

Banana

The question we have before trying out any DIY skincare technique is, “Will it suit my skin type?” So, I thought sharing with you a technique that will be beneficial, no matter what type of skin you have. You can add different ingredients with a banana to make it more suitable for your skin type. For instance, if you have dry skin, create a mixture of mashed ripe bananas, along with honey and coconut oil. Similarly, for oily skin, use honey, oats and a few drops of lemon juice.
