Albuquerque international balloon festival

Albuquerque international balloon festival

One of the most captivating sights is looking at a hot air balloon slowly rising against a clear sky defying the gravity and showing its colors in full grandeur. Only if you have seen this happen would you appreciate the sight? Now just imagine hundreds of hot air balloons going up like birds in the sky at the same time! If you are game for a little adventure and to maintain your nerves while flying in a basket among the clouds, this festival is everything you need to try out.

The sky full of around 600 hot air balloons looks like a scene straight from a Pixar movie. It goes on for nine days, every year. The dry warm climate in Albuquerque pitches a perfect composition for the festival. Many recent visitors struggled to find the words to describe the magnificent sight of the balloons, calling the festival a bucket list experience. So if you want to bask in the glow of hot balloons against the sunrise, pack your bags and head to the 78-acre Balloon Fiesta Park in northern Albuquerque. Visitors swear by the out of the world experience and you would love it too. And don’t forget to visit the botanical garden and zoo when you are in Albuquerque which is also mesmerizing.
